Jump to you give out!

Poor Carson, I feel I have been alienating him from his friends. These past few weeks, we've been busy with his b-day activities, visiting family and then just doing stuff on our own. The last couple things we've done, he's asked if he was going to play with his friends and I've had to disappoint him and say no, we're just going by ourselves.

So today we got out and went to JNJ and then to McDonald's to play. Carson was so excited to see his friends, he jumped until he was just wore slap out...all hot and sweaty. After jumping, it was time for lunch, so we headed to McDonald's with his friend Noah and his mommy and baby sister. The kids had a blast here also.

Carson also received two birthday gifts today from his friends and enjoyed them so much that he only took a 45 min. nap after all this jumping this morning, because he was so excited to get up and play with his new toys. Oh well, at least he'll sleep good tonight!

3 years old!

Wow, I can not believe my baby is 3, where has the time went? Yesterday I asked Carson what he wanted to do for his Birthday, I told him we could go anywhere, just name it....he said, "Chuck E Cheese" with no hesitation. So, off we went to Chuck E Cheese. Dada met us over there for some fun and pizza for lunch. Carson had a blast, he loves that place...it's so funny to watch him run from one thing to another.

After CEC, we headed over to Toys R Us, so he could get his birthday crown, birthday balloon and spend his birthday money. Carson had as much fun in here as he did CEC, running around wild, pressing all the buttons. They even said, "Happy Birthday Carson...." over the intercom. It was really funny watching Carson listening to them. He said, "They say Happy Birthday to me?" with a puzzled look on his face. It was so cute.

After Carson woke up from his nap, we headed to Home Depot to buy some sand for his sand table that he absolutely loves. This was the best investment! His day ended with a cookie cake and blowing of candles and more presents.

He absolutely loved his fun filled Birthday.

Carson's 3rd Birthday Party!

I can not believe my baby will be 3 tomorrow!!! Where has the time went, it seems like just yesterday we were trying to pick out a name for him, seems like we just brought him home. My baby is growing up so fast.

This weekend, we had his 3rd Birthday party, his theme this year was "Construction". What a success it was! Everyone had lots of fun. Carson and his friends had lots of fun, running, feeding fish, riding the go-cart, riding the 4-wheeler, roasting marshmellows and riding all the fun toys. We also had a bonfire for Carson, to celebrate this special occasion. This has become a tradition that we do for his birthday, we've done it all 3 years and he loves it. This year his friend Addison and her parents stayed for the bonfire. It was so fun, lots of laughs and giggles from children and adults around the bonfire, what a wonderful time to spend with your family and friends!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARSON! WE LOVE YOU!

Busy, Busy Week

Wow, this past week has flown by. Tuesday, Julie and her family drove in for Carson's birthday party. The kids have grown so much, even though we see them pretty much every 2 months, it seems they grow so much in just that little time. Will is fully walking now and almost running, it is pretty scary sometimes he gets to going a little too fast and looks like he's going to face plant in the middle of the driveway, but he's doing really good. On Thursday, Susan and Bill (Meemaw and Peepaw, Steve's parents) drove in from FL to spend the weekend also. We love visiting with them!

This week was full of shopping, visiting, fishing, crawfish boils and playing! The kids were so happy to see each other and the adults had a great time catching up and visiting also!

St. Patrick's Day Parade

Today, Blake, Carson and I braved the weather in hopes that it would not "rain on our parade" and headed to the St. Patrick's Day parade in Baton Rouge. One of Blake's work buddies lives just a couple blocks from the parade route, so we went by there first for a visit and then headed down to the parade.

We got a perfect spot, right at the beginning of the parade and right behind the barricades so no one could get in front of Carson. Blake ended up holding Carson the entire time though, so he could get him some "good stuff". Carson raked up on stuffed animals, toys and beads. We had no clue how much stuff we would get and just brought one little tote bag. At the end of the parade, we had to go through everything and pick what we wanted to keep, because there was no way we could carry it all back to the car. We ended up leaving behind about 5 stuffed animals (we do not need anymore stuffed animals in this house!) and a huge pile of beads. Don't worry, the animals were quickly picked up by some passerbyers.

We had an awesome time and got back to the car just as it started to rain...perfect timing!
Before the parade, Carson got to drive the Fire Truck

It's Superman!

Carson lately has been running through the house making these "swooshing" noises and calling himself Superman. Not sure where he got Superman from, because I don't think he's ever seen the movie, he must have heard it from somebody or seen it somewhere when I wasn't around. Anyway, Mimi found some Superman PJ's and Carson absolutely loves them. After his bath last night, we put them on him and of course he instantly started running around saying he was "Superman Carson"....and he was quick to correct us when we called him just Superman...he said, "No, I'm SUPERMAN CARSON"!

Check out his abs! :)

My Baseball Star!

Yes, I have to brag...my two year old (almost 3) can hit a ball without the "T"!!! He doesn't even want to use the "T" anymore...can they skip T-ball?? :)

Cohn Arboretum

Today we went to the Cohn Arboretum. I never knew this beautiful place is only about 10 min. from house! Who would have known this beautiful place is tucked away in such an odd spot??

It was beautiful out today, the weather could not have been any better!

More Exploring

Today, Carson and I headed to the Port Hudson National Park. We walked some trails, did some exploring and only went up the "Castle" twice this time. :) It was a beautiful day out!

Fun Day

Today, Carson and I set out to enjoy this beautiful day. First we went to the Hilltop Arboretum. It was not as galmorous as the internet made it sound. But, Carson had fun running up the giant "mountain" and climbing down into the ravines.

After enjoying our lunch in the Cathedral, we headed over to the Bluebonnet Swamp. We enjoyed this alot better. Carson was on the look out for snakes and alligators. Also, on the wooden walkways through the swamp, he kept seeing footprints from all the animals and saying they were "Clues" (as in Blues Clues) and that we had to find the animals. It was so cute. It is such a beautiful day outside today and after he wakes from his nap, we plan to go spend the rest of the afternoon outside!
