Train Museum, Saturday Fun

On Friday, my friend Stacey and I took our kiddos to the Toy Train Museum in New Orleans. Since hearing about this museum, I've been wanting to take Carson. So we all loaded up in Stacey's van for a trip to New Orleans.

The kids had a great time at the Train Museum, playing on all the make believe trains and watching all the displayed trains run around the tracks. After the museum, we weren't sure where we were going to have our picnic lunches that we had packed, but found a little courtyard down the street that made for a perfect picnic area. The kids had loads of fun putting leaves into the drain of the fountain that was in the center of the courtyard. Carson actually stayed awake the entire way back to Stacey's house, except for the last 5 min, when we tried to keep him awake, but he didn't care, he was so tired. So, Carson fell asleep on the way to our house and sleep like a baby until I had to wake him up at 4:45 pm to go to Mimi's house, so I could go have dinner with an old work buddy. We had lots of fun catching up.

On Saturday, Blake, Carson and I went to the LSU Vet School where they had their annual open house. Carson enjoyed seeing and petting all of the animals. After the vet school, we headed to the Parade Grounds and had a picnic and Carson and Blake played soccer. It was so nice out today, I wish it was this type of weather all year around.
