Well, Hurricane Gustave is officially here. We are just patiently awaiting him to come our way and be gone! It's just started raining a little, but the winds have been going since about midnight last night.
Carson and I stayed with Mimi and Pop's last night so we wouldn't have to get up and drive in the storm. Mimi and Pop's have a generator that is directly hooked to their house and is run by natural gas. The generator automatically comes on any time that their electricity goes out and runs the house as though they never had a power outage. Living out in the country they frequently have power outages, even if it's just a bad wind, so this generator has been a life savor to them.
Blake is riding the storm out at our house to make sure everything goes OK.
