Visiting Pawpaw

So this week has been kinda odd. For some reason I just feel like sticking around the house, not getting out that much, except to run a few errands. Well, today was another day, except we went to Baton Rouge to buy a shirt for Carson's 3 year pics and then went to look at more birthday supplies.

Today was just the same as any other trip to Baton Rouge, Carson falls asleep on the way home and I usually pick him up and put him directly in his bed and he continues to sleep for another 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Well today, he decided he was going to get up about 5 min. after I put him in bed and not want to go back to sleep. So he had big ole nap of about 35 min.!

So since he wouldn't go back to sleep, we decided to go visit Pawpaw. We haven't been out there in a while, it's a shame, because he's only about 10 min. away from us. Carson has been to visit him once, but that is all. I just get very emotional when we go visit him and today was especially tough since Carson is talking and asking so many questions now.

I miss him so much! He was the best Pawpaw anyone could ever have. He taught all of us grand kids how to drive, he always took us places and shopping, we (us grand kids) always argued who was going to sit next to him in Church.

Pawpaw was born on June 22, 1926 and passed away June 22, 2004.

It was hard to try to explain to Carson as he asked where Pawpaw was. I told him that he was up in heaven with God and he kept asking, why. It was so hard, especially when Carson started tearing up because he couldn't find him. Gosh, I miss him!.
